Brilliant customer service and excellent unboxing experience. This was my first ever keyboard build and learned so much! I've recommended it to everyone at work.
This is my third KBDCraft keyboard and my second Sachiel. I love the build experience and the customization possibilities.
It's a really nice keyboard and I had a lot of fun building it. It would be nice to have more switches options and maybe in the future to have a version of an entirely split keyboard.
I bought the keyboard because of the unique nature of the product. A keyboard that you have to assemble that is made of Legos. What I wasn't prepared for is how good the keyboard feels to type on. The entire keyboard is customizable too. The other thing that surprised me was the RGB lighting. 10/10! Now I need to find a way to get a laptop that has a mechanical keyboard built in.
I'm extremely happy with this keyboard. First, the whole experience of building it from scratch in great. On top of that, the physical customization possibilities you get by adding Lego pieces are endless. And finally the flexibility to customize the key assignment and functions is on another level. I immediately order another one for my other workstation.
Had so much fun building the keyboard and I really love the custom knobs and keycaps for the arrow keys.
This is a fantastic kit. Really enjoyed the build process. Instructions were clear and the packaging was excellent! I paired it with Domikey caps and Chosfox clicky switches. Really happy with it!

So much fun, but also so frustrating! with the ISO layout the cable provided with the standard kit doesn't work directly with the keypad in the normal position (on the right) - you have to modify the cable switching the outer pins in order to make it work (nothing mentioned in the instructions on this). But the keyboard layout is fabulous.
This is somewhat helpful!! I stumbled upon the same issue but couldn't find a solution. Could you explain your approach further?
Nice keycaps, but the problem is they don't cover the ISO layout properly so you can't use the combination of white and black because there are none of the special ISO keys. There are lots of silly (unnecessary) keys, but instead they should have put in the standard ISO enter key, shift key, etc. And why not add in the UK style 2 and 3 key (with " and £). On the positive side, Mac keys are included which is good. I just wish they had thought more about the ISO layout.
Hi, thank you for your feedback. Sorry that the ISO layout keycaps are not included in any keycap sets if you purcahse the keycap set only. They're sold seperately.
I got the white/linear key switch model and love it! It was a very fun experience putting it together and pretty easy on top of that. I've had the keyboard for a few months at the time of writing and use it both for work as a programmer and hobby projects. The use of Vial for key mapping makes setup fairly easily. It takes some getting used to as someone coming from a traditional keyboard. But after the adjustment period, I feel that I am able to type more efficiently through moving less to press each key. The comfort is great too, especially with the palm rest accessory to lift your hands up a bit. The construction is fairly solid, and withstands day-to-day use and transport between home and the office. I added some of my own blocks to it for a more sturdy construction, not necessarily needed but just gives me some peace of mind. Definitely more than worth what it's priced at, with the added benefit of being able to modify it easily to suit your needs!
Love the design of this keyboard, and I was so happy to receive it. Nothing was missing, but there were a few discolored pieces. Luckily, there were enough extra pieces to replace the discolored white plates with bright white ones.
The build was easy until it came time to plug in the cables that connect either side. While inspecting the port to determine which direction the cable should face, I saw 3 bent pins. Luckily, I got them bent straight, but unluckily I had to snap a piece of plastic on the port to do so. After that, the rest of the build went smoothly. 10/10 for the design, but the quality control could use some improvement.
I've been wanting to try out ortholinear typing; I like building blocks, so it's the perfect combo. I've only been trying it for a few days and am working my way through a typing tutorial again. But typing is already a lot of fun. As a German, I still need to find good places for the umlauts.
A comfortable and functional keyboard. I've been using the Lilith for a few days now and I've been very impressed with it.
Definitely. While I still feel some strain after typing for long periods of time, it doesn't hurt like it used to, and I can sit at my desk for long periods of time without discomfort.
